Eco School update:

As Eco School Coordinator, Miss Cleland was delighted to welcome Dr Dunn, Head of Literacy from Stranmillis University College, Belfast to our school. Ten final year students also accompanied her to observe Literacy through Forest School. As part of our Eco School we highlighted the importance of recycling within our school community.


Other news….
On Thursday 9th June 2022, three P4 pupils and Miss Cleland, as World Around Us Coordinator were invited to Lisburn Civic Centre to a very prestigious award ceremony. We were very excited to be named through Radius Housing -

                 Biodiversity Champion 2021-22

We received this wonderful award for our school in recognition of our very well kept ECO Garden. Our new Gardening Club also got a mention.


Working together as a team and working hard really has paid off! 

Well done Lisburn Central … WE DID IT!!

Central is an Eco friendly school!

Our Eco Committee (2021/22) were delighted to be presented with a waterbutt from NI Water to help us water our outdoor learning garden! We can't wait to start using it!

We have been so pleased to be able to harvest some of our vegetables and taste them!

Spring has sprung - March 2022

Mrs Gilmore has been busy helping P4 plant sunflower seeds in time for the Spring/Summer term. 

We love caring for our Eco garden.
